SUBJECT:
Approval of Specific Authorization No. 6 in an amount not to exceed $11,120.00 (reimbursed by USDA NRCS) for professional engineering services relating to modifications to the original engineering design of Canal No. 9.
SUMMARY:
The original design of the canal bank stabilization of 325 LF of Canal No. 9, commonly referred to as Edwards Road Canal, is not acheivable due to the limited canal right-of-way and therefore, Engineering staff requested the enclosure of this canal utilizing 72" and 84" RCP pipe culvert as indicated on the approved plan.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval
ALTERNATIVES:
Forgo the project and surrender the previously allocated USDA NRCS disaster funding grant money
