Re: 2018-19 Public Service Grant Awards Recommendation by Communitywide Council

SUBJECT:

Approval of Communitywide Council Recommendations for program year 2018-19 Public Service Grant Awards to 15 entites in the total amount of $50,000.

SUMMARY:

Communitywide Council scored 15 public service grant applications 3/25/2019. Attached, please find: List of applicants and suggested grant awards; copies of proposed awardees grant applications; template for contractual agreement that will be used for each recipient.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve Communitywide Council's recommendations for the 2018-19 Public Service Grant awards and template of contract to be used for each awardee, based on Legal Department approval of Form and Correctness.

ALTERNATIVES:

Do not approve the Communitywide Council's recommendations or the contract template.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Public Service Grant Awards was approved by the City Commission in the 2018-2019 CDBG Action Plan. This funding will be reimbursed to the City via CDBG.
