SUBJECT:
Approval of Loan Agreement to facilitate the Arts and Culture Advisory Board Art in Public Places recommendation of art to be placed at Melody Lane Fishing Pier roundabout.
SUMMARY:
At the April 11 meeting, the Arts and Culture Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend acceptance of 'Exodus' art piece, by Hayes Sculpture Foundation, to be on loan to the City of Fort Pierce in accordance with the Arts and Culture Master Plan. Upon approval, the Public Works Department will assist with coordination of installation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Arts and Culture Advisory Board loan recommendation at the proposed location. The attached Artwork Loan Agreement to be used for loan, has been approved by City Attorney's Office as to Form and Correctness.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the Arts and Culture Advisory Board recommendation and/or location.
