SUBJECT:
Resolution 19-R24 authorizing approval of a joint project agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Fort Pierce providing for FDOT's participation towards the engineering design for the Historic Downtown Fort Pierce Retrofit SUN Trail from Georgia Avenue to A1A / N. Causeway Drive.
SUMMARY:
This agreement will enable the City to contract a professional engineer to provide design plans for the creation of a portion of the Greenways Trail System, commencing at Georgia Avenue and extending to A1A / N. Causeway Drive. This grant was applied for by St. Lucie County as part of SUN Trail Network, and it has been determined that the City, as grant recipient, would be more suited to manage the project. The Florida Department of Transportation agrees to participate in the project cost up to the maximum of $300,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
Engineering recommends approval of this agreement and supporting resolution.

Reject grant award.
