SUBJECT:
Approve entering into a phased contract with Swagit, LLC, to Create, Host, and Deliver Broadcast Live and On-Demand Audio/Video Content in an amount not to exceed $97,078.98.
SUMMARY:
Since inception of televising Commission and other City Board meetings, Saint Lucie County TV staff has been broadcasting all on-air meetings based on the Interlocal agreement between the County and the City of Fort Pierce. City staff has been tasked with cutting cost while providing the same service with the option of providing additional broadcasting services for a lower cost. MIS staff will be trained and have the ability to produce meetings offsite for broadcasting on the City Channel 27 and U-Verse 99. The broadcasts will be more focused on community wide events within the City limit, highlighting and marketing what Fort Pierce has to offer.
RECOMMENDATION:
To use Swagit Productions. LLC, which is the same company that provides the City with the paperless agenda known as AgendaQuik and they facilitate the streaming broadcast of meetings through AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Phase One, Phase Two, and Phase Four to be completed within this fiscal year. $91,045.98 will come from our capital line item 001-6000-513-64-10 with the remaining $6,033.00 will come from MIS Software line item 001-2500-513-46-75. Capital costs includes digital cameras, Go Mobile Broadcasting station, installation, and other hardware and services.
