SUBJECT:
Request approval to award Bid 2019-019 to the lowest bidder, Verdex Construction, LLC for construction of the interior build-out of the office space located on the third floor of the Sunrise Center for the purpose of relocating the City of Fort Pierce Building Department in the amount of $897,953.00.
SUMMARY:
Request for approval to award Bid number 2019-019 to Verdex Construction, LLC, to complete the interior build-out of the third floor office space of the Sunrise Center for the lump sum of $897,953.00. It is requested that the City's General Fund reimburse $178,032.00, as funding becomes available, the cost of bringing the interior structure to shell building, or "vanilla box" status. The remainder of the cost, $719,921.00, will be paid for by the Building Department Enterprise Fund.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this request to award Bid 2019-019 to Verdex Construction, LLC for construction of the the interior build-out of the office space located on the third floor of the Sunrise Center for the purpose of relocating the City of Fort Pierce Building Department.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not award the bid at this time.
