SUBJECT:
Resolution No. 15-R13 authorizing the Transfer of Surplus Property located at 903 S 3rd Street, between Georgia Avenue and Hayes Road.
SUMMARY:
- The City of Fort Pierce issued Bid No. 2015-015 to solicit proposals for a portion of surplus property, acquired for but not utilized in the development of the main Police Station on South Third Street.
- Artistry in Mosaics, Inc, responded to the bid opportunity, requesting approval of a proposal to acquire .18 acres of city owned land, subject to all of the terms and conditions of a Property Disposition and Development Agreement providing the completion of an economic development project and off-site improvements including but not limited to benches, landscaping, lighting, and a bicycle station at the City's future Memorial Park.
- The proposed acquisition seeks to couple said land with current holdings, for expansion of their existing business.
- The appraised market value of the subject property, sought for acquisition, is $20,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
Seek additional bids.
