Resolution 22-R48 authorizing the execution of a Florida Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity supporting Downtown Waterfront Corridor infrastructure improvements.

On August 30, 2022, Governor Ron DeSantis awarded the City of Fort Pierce a $2.7 million Florida Job Growth Grant to help fund infrastructure improvements in Downtown Fort Pierce. The critical infrastructure improvements include water, wastewater, electric, fiber, natural gas, roadway and sidewalk improvements. The infrastructure upgrades will stimulate more than $72 million of private investment on along Indian River Drive. Resolution 22-R48 authorizes the execution of the grant agreement with the Department of Economic Opportunity.
