Approval and Acceptance of Recommended Award of Bid No. 2015-055/Approval of Purchase for Two Off-Road Vehicles
SUMMARY:
The Police Department is recommending the award of Bid No. 2015-055 (Off Road Vehicles) to Best Buy Vehicles Inc. of Fort Pierce. They were the lowest bidder and the only local bidder. The Purchasing Department managed and approved the bid process.
In addition, the Police Department would like to request the approval to purchase the 2 Off-Road Vehicles listed within Bid No. 2015-055. These two Off-Road Vehicles will be utilized by the department for beach patrol, natural disaster response, and other uses as deemed by the Chief of Police.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the approval of Bid No. 2015-055 and the purchase of the 2 Off-Road Vehicles.
ALTERNATIVES:
The only alternative is to not approve the request.
