SUMMARY:
In October 2022, the Fort Pierce Police Department, with the City Commission's approval, implemented 26 Flock Safety License Plate Readers (LPRs) throughout the community. These readers quickly became invaluable tools for our officers and detectives, significantly contributing to the safety of our community. They provide alerts for wanted persons, stolen property, assist in gathering investigative information, and locating offenders. Given the success of the Flock program, the Department is requesting approval to renew the current contract for 26 LPRs. The renewal of the contract is $81,500.00 annually for five years, not to exceed a total amount of $407,500.00.
