SUBJECT:

Resolution 18-R08 Appointing Members to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals following a vote.

SUMMARY:

The positions on this Board which have expired (February of last year) are:    Two (2) Division 1 Contractor positions.  Expiring February 3, 2018 will be one (1) Electrical Contractor, one (1) Mechanical Contractor, and one (1) Consumer Representative.

Three current members are seeking reappointment; Ken Waters (Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, currently serving as Consumer Representative), James Matula (Electrical Contractor) and Charles Hayek (Division 1 Contractor) -  their applications are attached.  Also attached are five (5) new applicants for consideration:  Michael Waldrop (Division 1 Contractor) ; Robert Allen (Mechanical Contractor); Edward Smith (Electrical Contractor); Lionel Dunbar (Architect and Division 1 Contractor) and Ann Marie Collins (Consumer Representative).

The makeup of the Board must consist of:  Two (2) Division One Contractors; One (1) Electrical Contractor; One (1) Mechanical Contractor; One (1) Plumbing Contractor; One (1) Architect; One (1) Engineer; and Two (2) Consumer Representatives.





 

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends that the City Commission select applicants.

ALTERNATIVES:

Continue seeking additional applications.
