Paradise Park Street Lighting MSTU

SUBJECT:

Approve the refunding of fees paid for the Paradise Park Streetlights MSTU to property owners that were annexed into the City.

SUMMARY:

In 1982 the County created the Paradise Park Street Lighting District (SLD) to offer and fund street lighting in the Paradise Park neighborhood, which was changed to a MSTU in 2010.  In 2006 the City began annexing properties in this area.though the annexations began in 2006; however from 2010 until the most recent taxable year, 2017, the residents continued to pay both taxes and the MSTU.  As of 2017, the total number of properties annexed and paying the MSTU is 254. 
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve refunding plan

Amend the plan or disapprove the refunding.
