FINDINGS/ORDER:

March 16, 2016 Special Magistrate Ross found Alaric Anglin responsible for the violations and gave him 60 days to bring the property into compliance or a fine of $100.00 per day would be assessed.

ACTION DATES:

  • August 22,2016 an inspection was made; the property was not in compliance, the fines began.
  • January 9, 2017 an inspection was made; the property was now in compliance, the fines stopped.
  • January 10, 2017 received a request to discuss the fines from Alma Anglin.  A Massey hearing was scheduled.
  • February 15, 2017 Special Magistrate ordered a reduction in the amount of $750.00 payable in 12 months.  If not paid the lien would revert to original amount of $14,030.00 of which $30.00 is recording fees.
  • March 1, 2018 checked with the Finance Department and the reduction was not paid.  Staff extended an additional 20 days to make payment.
  • April 19, 2018, the reduction was not paid.  The fines reverted to original amount and a lien was recorded.

RECOMMENDATION:
