SUBJECT:

Approval of a contribution from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to the Roundtable of St. Lucie County, Inc. in the amount of $1,500.00.

SUMMARY:

The police department requests approval to contribute $1,500 from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to the Roundtable of St. Lucie County for sponsoring the Poverty Forum.

According to Florida Statute 932.7055, the police department is required to spend 15% of Law Enforcement Trust Fund revenues each year in support of crime prevention activities.  The aforementioned contribution will be applied to meet the obligation for FY2015 and provide meaningful support to community based activities.  This expenditure meets the requirements of Florida's Statute 932.7055.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the contribution request.
