MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF CONTRACTORS OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 9:00 A.M. ON TUESDAY, February 11, 2020.

CONSIDERATION OF ABSENCE(S)

Mr. Fogg was not in attendance, Chairman Bergman decided to wait for Consideration of Absences to see if Mr. Fogg would arrive for the meeting.

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by Holly Theuns to approve the minutes of the February 11th meeting. A voice vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.

ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA AND APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by Holly Theuns to approve the agenda as it stands. A voice vote was taken and the motion was approved unanimously.

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by James Matula to retain Don Bergman as Chairman of the Board of Examiners of Contractors for another year. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.

The applicant and his wife, Gina, were present and indicated that they have been trying to comply with the requirement of obtaining Longshoremen's Workman's Compensation insurance, but were not able to locate an insurance company willing to provide it. A Board member suggested a local company where they themselves had obtained the insurance. The applicant indicated they would contact them.

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by Holly Theuns to approve the Application for Certificate of Competency of Dennis Respol dba Hammerhead Marine Construction with the condition that the applicant obtain the appropriate insurance and present it to staff. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.
