MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF CONTRACTORS OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 9:00 A.M. ON TUESDAY, July 13, 2021.

All members were present for the meeting.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

 Approval of the April 13, 2021 Meeting Minutes  
 
The May 11th meeting was cancelled as there were no items on the agenda.  The June 8th meeting was cancelled due to lack of quorum.

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by Holly Theuns to approve the minutes of the April 13, 2021 meeting. A voice vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.

Staff indicated that Mr. Baier was requested numerous times before both of the May and July meetings to provide the proper documentation for approval.  The documents received from Mr. Baier were still deficient for approval.  Mr. Baier ws notified for each meeting with no response.  Staff has recommended denial. 
 

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by Brandon Nobile to deny the application of David Baier dba Dave B. Concrete, LLC. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.

STAFF COMMENTS
Staff informed the Board that House Bill 735 has become effective as of July 1, 2021 where the City is no longer required to require licensing from local specialty contractors.
