MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF CONTRACTORS OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 9:00 A.M. ON TUESDAY, December 14, 2021.

Ralph Fogg; Reed Sudderth

CONSIDERATION OF ABSENCE(S)
Mr Sudderth had an emergency and was unable to attend.  The Board decided to postpone Consideration of Absences to allow Mr. Fogg time to arrive, as he said he would be attending.  At the end of the meeting, a voice vote was taken to excuse the absences of Mr. Fogg and Mr. Sudderth.
 

Motion was made by Robert Allen, seconded by Ryan Collins to excuse the absences of Mr. Fogg and Mr. Sudderth, who were unable to attend the meeting.

Motion was made by Robert Allen, seconded by Ryan Collins to approve the minutes of the meeting of November 9th. A voice vote was taken and the motion was approved unanimously.

Motion was made by Brandon Nobile, seconded by Holly Theuns to conditionally approve both applications of Mr. Winston Thompson, of WT Lot Builders LLC dba A New Home Repair upon receipt of the percentage of business ownership on page 2, and a renewed/updated Worker's Compensation insurance certificate as his current certificate expires on 1/22/22.

BOARD COMMENTS
Mr. Waldrop inquired as to whether there should be a standard number for credit approval, as the State requirement is a minimum of 540.

Chairman Bergman said that the responsibility would fall to the Board, because each case and application is unique.

Mr. Coss noted that it would need to be addressed by City Ordinance, and it would depend on the Board's limitations after the enactment of the House Bill that takes effect in 2024.  He also noted that a new assistant city attorney will be at the next meeting if they would like to discuss it at that time.

There being no further discussion, the Chairman wished everyone a Merry Christmas and adjourned the meeting at 9:16 AM.
