CHAIRMAN VIEWPOINTS
Chairman Matthews Viewpoints:
1. Northwest part of City of Fort Pierce is celebrating the 21st Annual Juneteenth Celebration at the Recreational Center.
2. Another street name change. Ave B will be named after a church.
3. The board needs to push for pride. I would like to see community pride week in August. It would be nice to put up a banner near Orange and Avenue D.
4. He would like to not see any more street name changes. Keep as is. It is deteriorating the history in the community.

OLD BUSINESS

a.
June 8th FPRA Meeting Review by Vice-Chairman Taylor
Vice-chairman Taylor updated the board on the recommendations that were presented to the FPRA Board and how they were unanimously approved. Vice-chairman Taylor requested from Shyanne Harnage that at the July meeting the residential incentive be presented to the board, so they may be up-to-date on the incentive program. Shyanne updated the board that the RFP for the Sunrise Center will be put out in August.

b.
Vacant Property at 9th Street and Orange Avenue
Shyanne Harnage spoke on the vacant property next to the Old St. Anastasia School which is being leased by Lindsay School of the Arts. She mentioned that Chad Ingram presented an Art Farm concept to City Staff, USDA and that is a possible idea. Since the Lindsay School of the Arts will not be using that side of the property that portion will be put out for proposals. This will become a recommendation presented to the FPRA.

c.
Rebranding of FPRA
Shyanne Harnage presented some samples that the Marketing Specialist created as some ideas for the rebranding of the FPRA logo. Committee member Michael Brown suggested having a contest for people out in the community to create a logo. The committee members agreed on the idea.

6.
NEW BUSINESS

a.
Community Pride Day at the Request of Chairman Matthews
Chairman Matthews wanted to present his idea of Pride Day to encourage the community to have city pride. He would like a banner put up letting the community know it will be a week event in August. Ideas were thrown around as to what could be done, and it was recommended to speak to Paul Bertram from the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful board and get them on board. It was suggested a good target area would be Moore's Creek.
