MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE 2ND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 2:30 P.M. ON TUESDAY, MARCH 2, 2021.

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Hudson called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.

Special Closed Meeting (Attorney-Client Session) pursuant to F.S. 286.011(8) at the request of the City Attorney to discuss settlement negotiations or strategy session related to litigation expenditures in connection with River Palms of St. Lucie LLC vs. City of Fort Pierce, Case No. 2020CA001941.
City Clerk Linda Cox announced the special closed meeting pursuant to F.S. 286.011(8) at the request of the City Attorney to discuss settlement negotiations or strategy session related to litigation expenditures in connection with River Palms of St. Lucie LLC vs. City of Fort Pierce, Case No. 2020CA001941.

The attorney-client session is anticipated to last for approximately one (1) hour. At the conclusion of the attorney-client session, this public meeting will be reopened and we will continue with the remainder of our agenda.
City Clerk Linda Cox announced that the closed session was anticipated to last one hour.

City Clerk to announce the names of those in attendance. The session shall be recorded by a certified court reporter. (Note: The court reporter will prepare the transcript of the meeting and file it with the City Clerk within a reasonable time; it shall remain sealed until the conclusion of the litigation, at which time the transcript will be made part of the public record.)
Linda Cox, City Clerk, announced those in attendance as follows: Mayor Linda Hudson, Commissioner Curtis Johnson, Jr., Commissioner Jeremiah Johnson, Commissioner Tom Perona, City Manager Nick Mimms, City Attorney Pete Sweeney and Assistant City Attorney Tanya Earley. Ms. Cox left the meeting at 2:31 p.m. and the session was recorded by a certified court reporter.

Meeting reopens at conclusion of attorney-client session.
The meeting was reopened by Mayor Linda Hudson at 3:28 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Hudson adjourned the meeting at 3:28 p.m.
