OLD BUSINESS
A.
Workshop on changes to proposed community survey.
Members reviewed the comments made to improve the community survey. Several suggestions were made on the way forward given the importance of the survey.Member Jones shared that the survey could be distributed through community organizations such as churches. The idea of using survey monkey was discussed but that would need approval from the City Commission. Utilizing Facebook to distribute the survey was also an option but Staff Braun cautioned members about the litigation risk associated with using this medium.
A community satisfaction survey from the International Association for Chiefs of Police (IACP) was reviewed. Members provided their comments on the IACP survey, and agreed to review it in light of the changes that need to be made to the community survey. Members will share the revised survey with their respective Commissioners for inclusion in an upcoming City Commission Agenda meeting. The survey will be sent to Kathy Davis at the Indian River State College (IRSC).
