Angel Robertson and Edward Celaya staff from Congressman Mast's office gave an introduction and advised that they came on behalf of the congressman who supports this initiative with Tunnel to Towers. Mr. Celaya stated that there are tens of thousand of veterans in St. Lucie County and thousands of first responders who can benefit from this program. These smart homes will allow first responders and veterans to gain a sense of independence, security, and confidence in daily life overall. Mr. Celaya and Ms. Robertson were in attendance on behalf of Congressman Mast to not only show his support but also to see how they can help with this process.

A board member questioned if Tunnel to Towers has identified veteran or first responders in St. Lucie County that will benefit from this initiative.

Mr. Thompson explained that the properties have to be identified first, Tunnel to Towers will then make plans for land donation.
