MINUTES OF A  MEETING OF THE PARKING COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE 2ND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 9:00 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2022.

COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC

Any person who wishes to comment on any subject on this Agenda may be heard at this time. Please limit your comments to no more than five (5) minutes, as this section of the Agenda is limited to thirty minutes. The Parking Committee will not be able to take any official action under “Comments from the Public” section.

OLD BUSINESS
 
a.
Walker Consultants Scope of Work Update by Staff
Audria Moore-Wells updated staff on the Walker Scope of Work. She will be meeting with Walker Consultants regarding the model they are developing for the inventory analysis, and they will be identifying which buildings are occupied and which ones are not.

NEW BUSINESS
 
a.
EV Charging Station Program
Eric Meyer and Rachel Tenant from FPUA partnered with Energy Management Solutions to bring to the City of Fort Pierce a No Cost/No Risk EV Charging Station. Jody McDevitt from EMS gave the presentation via Teams. 
After the presentation, the Committee asked questions and agreed to move forward with this program. Mike Reals recommended that the Committee explore this program some more and present to the Commission at the Conference Agenda.
 
b.
Courthouse Parking
Chris Gaiser, Court Administration Manager spoke on the parking concerns from the Clerk of Courts and Audria Moore-Wells refreshed everyones memory on the previous conversations the Parking Committee had with the Courthouse and Clerks offices when the parking concerns were first brought up. After much brainstorming, Gus Gutierrez made a recommendation that a sign be placed at Orange Avenue and US1 saying Juror Parking so that Jurors will know there is free and available parking at the City Parking garage, they also agreed to extend the hours of parking and days of jury duty.
 
c.
Temporary Parking Solution - FEC Parking Lot
This item was moved to April's meeting.
 
d.
City Hall Parking Garage Configuration
This item was moved to April's meeting.
