OLD BUSINESS

a.
Downtown Fort Pierce Parking Analysis with Walker Consultants
Tom Tszubka And Megan Gardo discussed the Parking Analysis. Mr. Broderick asked if they could explain what is made up of County or City parking and if the County will be willing to provide their parking garage for City use? Mr. Tszubka said the information is not specific to whom it belongs Scotty Beaulieu with St. Lucie County mentioned he will inquire if they will be willing to open the garage to the public. Anton mentioned the table provided in the Analysis does not reflect the high demand for the City’s special events, Mr. Tszubka said they will need a separate plan outside of this Analysis to address the special event parking. Mr. Broderick asked how they calculated the County’s need for parking and Megan informed them no specific data was collected they took the Square footage of the buildings and calculated the need for parking. John mentioned speaking with the developers of the King’s Landing project and seeing if they would be willing to add to their parking garage. City Manager Nick Mimms reminded the Board to think about the entire downtown Fort Pierce area and not just focus on the issue of the King’s Landing project.
