CALL TO ORDER
Gus Gutierrez called the March 8, 2023, Parking Committee meeting to order at 9:00 AM.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a.
Approval of the Minutes from the February 15, 2023, Meeting.
Motion was made by Dan Cushman, seconded by John Heaning to approve the minutes of the February 15, 2023, Parking Committee Meeting.

NEW BUSINESS
a.
Sunshine Law Presentation
Due to time constraints, this item was moved to the next meeting on April 5th.
b.
Downtown Master Plan Presentation
Economic Development Manager, Shyanne Harnage, gave the Downtown Master Plan Presentation. The Parking Committee is excited about the new developments coming to the Downtown area. They discussed the loss of parking within the plan for Marina Square and the possibilities for new parking areas.
c.
Discussion of Melody Lane 2 hour Parking Request
The Committee stated the parking areas in this request already have the 2-hour parking restraint and that this issue should be brought to the Code Enforcement Departments’ attention.

OLD BUSINESS
a.
Update on the Parking Garage Counting System
Mr. Andrews gave the update on the Parking Garage Counting System. He mentioned that there is a meeting following this one where they will be discussing the Bids that came in for the Parking Garage. The outcome of the meeting will be brought to the Parking Committee at the next meeting on April 5th.
7.
COMMITTEE AND STAFF COMMENTS
The Committee discussed the items they would like to bring to the April Conference Agenda like the Parking Garage Counting System, Depot Drive acquisition, and the Pedestrian walking area under the bridge. They also discussed the items to go over with the St. Lucie County Commissioners when they have their Joint meeting, like the Depot Drive Parking area and if St. Lucie County would like to partner with the City to establish that parking area.
