CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair Mia Morrison called the meeting to order at 4:05 pm.

ROLL CALL
Chairwoman Sara Cheney arrived at 4:17 pm.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Approve 3.9.23 Regular YOCO Meeting minutes
Motion made by 2nd Vice Chair Deonna Davis and seconded by Iyonee Allen to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March 9, 2023.

NEW BUSINESS

Thanking event partners
Audria Moore-Wells spoke about the importance of thanking the sponsors of the event.
b.
City Commission Presentation – April 17, 2023
Ms. Moore-Wells informed the members that the City Commission requested an update on the Youth Council's activities. Their presentation was scheduled for the April 17, 2023, Commission meeting.

OLD BUSINESS
a.
EMPOWER YOUTH! Event Planning
- Tour Blackburn Building
- Tour Percy Peek Gym
The members finalized the schedule for the Empower Youth! Event. All the details concerning the registration, opening session, youth breakout sessions, adult breakout sessions, lunch break, and wrap-up session were finalized. Adult presenters for the breakout sessions were confirmed. The members were given their assignments by Ms. Moore-Wells for their responsibilities at the event.
The members also viewed the rooms in the Blackburn Center and Percy Peek Gymnasium to be utilized for the event. The setup for each room was discussed and finalized.

COMMITTEE AND STAFF COMMENTS
Ms. Moore-Wells asked the members to wear their Youth Council shirts and to arrive by 8:00 am at the event.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn at 4:55 pm was made by Vice Chair Mia Morrison and seconded by Tyanna Gore.
