Old Business
a.
Fall Fieldtrip
The Board discussed taking a field trip to Melbourne in November. Specific date to be set at the next meeting in October.
b.
Quarterly Meeting Schedule
The Board discussed meeting schedule and the upcoming cleanups. The Board agreed to meetings dates for the remainder of 2023 through 2024 to include October, January, February, May and August. A special meeting will be called if necessary.
c.
Wrap program - electrical boxes/garbage trucks
The Board discussed the process to obtain sponsors and determining which boxes are available to wrap. Discussion postponetd until staff from FPUA is present.

New Business
a.
Beautification/Landscaping Discussion-Kate Rotindo, University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural
Kate Rotindo, with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural provided a presentation and educational materials on Florida-Friendly Landscaping.
b.
Cleanup Dates
The Board discussed future dates for quarterly cleanups. The Board agreed to the following dates: November 4th, 2023; March 9th, 2024 for the Great American Cleanup; June 1st, 2024; September 28th, 2024.

Board Discussion
Mr. Burdge discussed The National Arbor Day Foundation seedling program. He suggested that the city buy 50 seeds and partner with Chester A. Moore school to have kids' plant and tend to the seeds throughout the school year. In coordination with the City have the trees planted at which time the City takes over for the maintenance.
