MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE ARTS AND CULTURE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE 2ND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, CITY HALL, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 9:00 A.M. ON TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2024.

Chairwoman Julie Pouliotte called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m.

Any person who wishes to comment on any subject on this Agenda may be heard at this time. Please sign the sign-up sheet in order to speak. Please limit your comments to no more than five (5) minutes, as this section of the Agenda is limited to thirty minutes. The Arts and Culture Advisory Board will not be able to take any official action under “Comments from the Public” section.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

 Approval of Minutes from the March 26, 2024 regular meeting.

Approval of the Minutes from the April 2, 2024, Special Meeting.
 
 

Motion by Vice-Chair Doretha Hair Truesdell, seconded by Ipyana Abayomi to approve the minutes from the March 26, 2024, regular meeting and the April 2, 2024, special meeting.

Indian River Drive Mural Design Changes

Peace Pole Design Revision
Chairwoman Pouliotte presented the revised Peace Pole Design from the Fort Pierce Rotary Club and reminded the Board of the approved original design submitted at a previous meeting.
 
The Board discussed the differences in the designs and expressed that the original design, which includes a peace symbol, is a better fit for the peace pole.
 
Special Project Coordinator, Audria Moore, provided clarification about the options available to the board moving forward.
 
 

Motion by Ipyana Abayomi, seconded by Lisa Kessler to keep the original design submitted which includes the mosaic peace sign.

Chairwoman Julie Pouliotte adjourned the meeting at 10:59 a.m.
