Approval of Minutes

Approval of the minutes of the May 28, 2024 Meeting.
Motion by Vice-Chair Doretha Hair Truesdell, seconded by Ipyana Abayomi to approve the minutes of the May 28, 2024 meeting.

a.
Indian River Drive Mural Update
Audria Moore, Special Projects Coordinator, commented on the performance and payment bond for the muralist. An updated contract will be issued to him, insurance information, and a quote including wall prep.
b.
Arts and Culture Trust Fund Update
Ms. Moore discussed the Arts and Culture Fund and current and future allocation.
Ms. Kessler commented on the wall at 13th Street and Delaware.
Ms. Moore commented that the location would be verified to determine if it falls under the PAD mural program.
The Board discussed several locations of interest for murals including the mural under the train tracks, A.E. Backus and Avenue C, and Orange Avenue and N.E. 17th Street, and inquired on the process if a location is chosen for a mural.
Ms. Moore explained that the Board would need to make a recommendation directing Staff to move forward via presentation.
Ms. Kessler commented on the wall at 13th Street and Delaware.

Ms. Moore commented that the information is still pending.

The Board discussed moving the sculpture in front of the police department.
