Mayor Hudson called the April 19, 2024, Special Meeting of the City Commission to order at 3:02 P.M.

COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Any person who wishes to comment on any subject may be heard at this time. Please limit your comments to three (3) minutes or less, as directed by the Mayor, as this section of the Agenda is limited to fifteen minutes. The City Commission will not be able to take any official actions under Comments from the Public. Speakers will address the Mayor, Commissioners, and the Public with respect. Inappropriate language will not be tolerated.

NEW BUSINESS
a.
Discussion on the request to extend the cure period under the default motion sent to Audubon Development, Inc. regarding the Kings Landing project.
Sara Hedges, City Attorney, discussed the notice of default issued by the City Manager to Audubon regarding Phase II and the letter received from Audubon requesting an extension of the cure period for an additional 45 days.
Scott Hawkins, Jones Foster P.A., and Dale Matteson, Audubon Development Inc., were present and answered several questions regarding the extension request to include hotel partnership constraints, complications with site, financing, May 14th presentation, outstanding property taxes, and deposit refunds.
The Commission discussed calling a special FPRA meeting prior to the May 14th date.
The City Attorney will work with counsel to schedule a special meeting.

Motion by Commissioner Michael Broderick, seconded by Commissioner Jeremiah Johnson to approve the 45-day extension to the cure period under the default sent to Audubon Development, Inc. regarding the King’s Landing project.

ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Linda Hudson adjourned the meeting at 5:04 p.m.
