A.
Discussion of setting the agenda for the upcoming joint meeting with Board of County Commissioners - City Manager

Mr. Mimms explained that the Joint Meeting between the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County is scheduled for April 21, 2016 in the St. Lucie County Commission Chambers. The items for discussion are the Fisherman's Wharf land acquisition, Interlocal Ageements, and 2nd Street Construction.
 
B.
Contractor License Presentation - Building Official

Mr. Mark Meyers gave a presentation on Contractor Licensing featuring several individuals from other agencies and local contractors.
 
C.
Code Enforcement Fines & Liens - Proposed Policy Changes - Code Compliance Manager

Ms. Arraiz explained that she will go back to the Code Enforcement Board and look for a recommended threshold.  They will also discuss whether or not to assess an application fee and if an application fee is approved, then they will determine what the dollar amount will be and review the fast track process.
 
D.
Consideration of Business Tax Receipt rate increase, decrease or no action in accordance with Florida Statute 205.0535(4) - City Clerk

The consensus of the City Commission was not to increase the rate for Business Tax Receipts this year.
 
E.
Seasonal Disconnect - Solid Waste Options - Public Works Manager

Mr. Mike Reals explained that staff presented the findings of the NAB Assessment back in August.  At that time it was recommended that they do away with the seasonal disconnect.  After a brief discussion, the consensus of the Commission was to move forward with not offering the seasonal disconnect for solid waste customers.
