A.
Discussion on proposed Clean Community Initiative (CCI) ordinance amendment and proposed resolution - Code Compliance Manager

There was a consensus of the Commission to decrease the Secure and Vacant Structures line item to $25,000 and place into the Demolition line item for a total of $130,000 in the proposed budget.

Mr. Mimms explained that as soon as the budget is established, then the $281,000 would be incorporated into the budget and there will be restrictions as to how it will be spent.  Mr. Mimms stated that he would have to approach the FPUA to determine if there will be an administrative fee for collection.  It was clarified that if it comes back in the form of an Ordinance, it would be required to be advertised.  The consensus of the City Commission was to bring this item back at the June meeting in the form of a resolution with supporting back up.

B.
Presentation of Melody Lane Area Maintenance and Operation - Public Works Manager.

Mr. Mike Reals and Mr. Kori Benton gave an update on the Melody Lane Fishing Pier improvements and plans for the restrooms.

Two possible locations were identified for the restrooms.  One area is behind the library and the other near Melody Lane.  There were two potential funding sources identified to help with the improvements.  Public park impact fees and government public building impact fees.  Another idea for a funding source is to approach St. Lucie County for help with funding.

Mr. Mimms stated that they would begin to bid some of the improvements and get some hard costs while identifying the funding source.  They will also look at the aesthetic improvements to the Melody Lane sidewalks.

C.
Discussion of possible locations for additional fishing locations

Mr. Andrews gave a brief presentation on possible locations for additional fishing.  One location identified was North Bridge and there was discussion about the Little Jim Bridge which the City owns.

There were two other fishing opportunities identified.  One was the Indian Hills Recreation Area which is expected to be completed in June, 2016 and the Savanahs Recreation Trail.

D.
