MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE KEEP FORT PIERCE BEAUTIFUL AND FORT PIERCE TREE BOARD OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE PUBLIC WORKS CONFERENCE ROOM, 52 SAVANNAH ROAD, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 2:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 26, 2016.

Call to Order - Paul Bertram called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

Invocation - Mrs. Wright offered the opening prayer.

Approval of Minutes - There were no minutes to approve.

New Business
a.
Great American Clean-Up
Great American clean-Up will be Saturday May 14, 2016.
The Board discussed locations and determined we will select at the next meeting in February. Locations suggested are; Jaycee Park, Parking garage, Pal Center, Dreamland Park, Museum Park, Pioneer Park.
Board was tasked to think of some events and projects for Great American Clean-Up.
Mrs. Vanderhorst volunteered to work the graffiti project for this year. Our Solid Waste Division will hold a recycle education booth with events.
Mr. Hoffman will ask the FPUA sponsor the food for the Great American Cleanup. The Board discussed having hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch.
Mr. Reals will contact Waste Management to inquire about sponsoring a continental breakfast for the volunteers.
Transformer painting and maybe having some younger volunteers join in with paint by numbers.
The Board voted and had and came to a unanimous decision to seat Mrs. Shyanne Helms to the position of Chair of the keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Board. Mrs. Helms gracefully accepted.
Mr. Bertram and Mrs. Adair discussed the trash bag receptacles and we are still in search of a good product to distribute.
The board welcomed our newest member Mrs. Charlene Adair.
Mr. Bertram discussed that Fort Pierce received the prestigious President Circle Award for 2015.
