MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE KEEP FORT PIERCE BEAUTIFUL AND FORT PIERCE TREE BOARD OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE PUBLIC WORKS CONFERENCE ROOM, 52 SAVANNAH ROAD, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 1:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 2016.

Call to Order - Shyanne Helms called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.

Invocation - Martha Wright offered the opening prayer.

Approval of Minutes
 
a.
Approval of Minutes February 16, 2016
 

Motion was made by Charlene Adair, seconded by Martha Wright to approve the minutes from the February 16, 2016 meeting.

New Business
 
a.
Fort Pierce Sunrise Trail

The Board discussed putting up banners along the routes and designing a logo to use for the trail. Some ideas included a sunrise in the photo. We would like to develop a pamphlet to distribute to the public. It should be something that would include routes, historic sites, restaurants, businesses and other points of interest. The trail would have different types of focus points to include murals, landscaping and decorative lighting.
 
b.
St Andrew's Pedestrian Plaza Art

The Board discussed the Saint Andrew's Pedestrian Plaza Art. Shyanne will contact Linda in regards to discussing the possibilities at a future meeting.

Old Business
 
a.
Arbor Day Saturday May 14th 8am untill 1pm
 
b.
Great American Clean up May 14th 8am untill 1pm
 
Great American Cleanup and Arbor Day are on May 14th. The Board has purchased shirts and items for the bags. Bus assignments will be distributed with registration. Public Works employees will help host the event. We only have 5 busses available for the day. Trees have been purchased for the Arbor Day event. Janey will put together a list for the graffiti bus (Fort Pierce Trolley). Waste Management will supply continental breakfast and FPUA is suppling lunch.
 
c.
FPUA Transformer Art

The Ribbon cutting ceremony for the FPUA transformer art piece downtown will be on April 7 at 2:00 p.m. on site downtown.
 
d.
Neighborhood Gems

The Board reviewed six homes for the Neighborhood Gems awards and the winners selected are as follows; 2, 3, 4 and 5. The awards and prizes will be awarded at Coffee with the Mayor in April.
