PUBLIC HEARING on the proposed 2014-15 General Fund Budget and Millage Rate for the City of Fort Pierce.
Gloria Johnson, Finance Director, offered a brief summary of the proposed FY2015 budget indicating the proposed budget for FY2015 is $34,267,078 compared to last year which was $34,108,541 for an increase of $158,537. This year's millage rate is set at 6.5786 compared to last year's rate of 6.6050.
The Mayor opened the Public Hearing. Seeing no one, she closed the Public Hearing.

Consider any proposed amendments to the 2014-15 Budget.
The Mayor indicated there were no amendments to the proposed FY2015 budget.
b.
Adopt the (amended) Tentative 2014-15 General Fund Budget.
Motion was made by Commissioner Thomas Perona, seconded by Commissioner Edward Becht to adopt the tentative FY2014-2015 general fund budget.

Recompute (if necessary) and adopt the proposed Millage Rate.
The Mayor indicated no recalculation was needed.
Motion was made by Commissioner Edward Becht, seconded by Commissioner Thomas Perona to adopt the proposed millage rate of 6.5786.

The Second Public Hearing (and First Reading of the Budget Ordinances) will be held at the Regular City Commission Meeting on Monday, September 15, 2014, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the City Commission Meeting Chambers, City Hall, 100 North U.S. Highway 1, Fort Pierce, Florida.
