MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE THIRD FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, CITY HALL, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 10:30 A.M. ON MONDAY, AUGUST 11, 2014.

CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Mayor Linda Hudson at 10:46 a.m.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was recited.

Mayor Hudson announced that the meeting will take approximately 45 minutes. She also announced that those present were: Mayor Linda Hudson; Commissioners Rufus Alexander, Edward Becht, Thomas Perona, and Reginald Sessions; City Attorney Robert Schwerer; Assistant City Attorney Jim Walker, City Manager Robert Bradshaw and a court reporter.

City Clerk Linda Cox said this is a Special Closed Meeting (Attorney-Client Session) of the City Commission of the City of Fort Pierce, Florida, pursuant to Florida Statute 286.011(8) to discuss settlement negotiations or strategy session related to litigation expenditures in connection with pending litigation:
Treasure Coast Marina, LC, et al vs. Ken Pruitt and City of Fort Pierce, et al (Case No. 562011CA002968, Circuit Court of the 19th Judicial Circuit) and
Wilkinson vs. City of Fort Pierce (Case 2:14-cv-14269-DMM, Federal District Court).
The session shall be recorded by a certified court reporter.

At this time, City Clerk Linda Cox left the meeting and will return to reopen the meeting at the conclusion of the special meeting. In accordance with Florida Statute 286.011(8), the transcript shall be made part of the public record upon conclusion of the litigation.

City Clerk Linda Cox returned to the meeting and Mayor Linda Hudson announced the session was over 11:54.

ADJOURNMENT - The meeting was adjourned at 11.54 a.m.
