OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE FORT PIERCE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD HELD ON MONDAY, JUNE 25, 2018, IN FORT PIERCE CITY HALL, COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 100 NORTH US HIGHWAY 1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA.

CALL TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

Due to the Chair and Vice-Chair not being in attendance, the Board voted to make Mr. Broderick the Chairman for the meeting.
Present:

Absent:
Paul Sampson; Peggy Harris-Smith; Suzanne Boardman
Staff Present:

CERTIFICATION OF ALTERNATE MEMBER VOTING STATUS/EXCUSE NON VOTING ALTERNATE

Mr. Small was a regular voting member for the meeting.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes from the May 29, 2018 meeting
 

Motion was made by Holly Theuns, and seconded by Charlie Hayek to approve the minutes from the May 29, 2018 meeting.

PUBLIC HEARINGS
 
a.
Certificate of Appropriateness 18-45 -  Fence - 301 S. 7th Street

Mr. Hayek recused himself due to his interest in the property.

Ms. Lewicka gave an overview of the application.  Mr. Hayek stated the picket fence is identical to the fence located at 305 S. 7th Street.
 

Motion was made by Holly Theuns, and seconded by Patrick Small to approve Certificate of Appropriateness 18-45 for the white picket fence located at 301 S. 7th Street.

7.
NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Small inquired about the fence on 714 Beach Court that was approved at the last meeting. He stated the fence on the Georgia Avenue side was approved to be a 6 foot high picket fence and it is a board on board fence.

Chairman Broderick asked how it gets handled at this point.

Ms. Lewicka said she would check with the building department to see if the fence has been inspected and if needed, she would also talk to Code Enforcement.

CONSIDERATION OF ABSENCES
 

Motion was made by Holly Theuns, and seconded by Patrick Small to approve the absences of Mr. Sampson, Ms. Boardman and Ms. Harris-Smith.
