CONTRACTOR COMPLAINTS

a.
Contractor/Qualifier Dba Competency Card # State License #
Mr. John George George & Associates Contractors LLC 18000014881 CCC1328132

Mr. George was present at the hearing.  The Complainant, Mr. Price, was contacted in Texas via conference call. The Complainant  felt that the contract was not honored and that Mr. George was not monitoring the work being done at his home.  He felt that the work was incomplete and wanted the work finished or for Mr. George to issue a refund.  Mr. George indicated that his company had spent more than the deposit that was put down on the contract, and that the work that Mr. Price wanted completed was not in the contract.

The Board clarified that their purpose was to decide whether or not Mr. George was guilty of the alleged charges brought against his license, and any monetary compensation would have to be pursued in Civil Court.  The Board voted individually on each of the individual charges below brought against Mr. George:

The following charges were brought against the Respondent under the Fort Pierce Code of Ordinance, Section 5-52: (2) Committing fraud or deceit in the practice of contracting.  (3) Committing incompetency or misconduct in the practice of contracting;  (6) Committing mismanagement or misconduct in the practice of contracting that causes financial harm to a customer. (11) Failing to actively supervise construction projects for which the contractor has applied for and obtained a building permit; or for projects for which the contractor is, by contract; responsible.

Mr. George was found not guilty of all charges; no motion was necessary, and the charges were dismissed.
