MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF CONTRACTORS OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, HELD IN THE CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 100 NORTH U.S. #1, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, AT 9:00 A.M. ON TUESDAY, June 12, 2018.

Motion was made by Reed Sudderth, seconded by John Langel to excuse the absence of Mr. Matula. A voice vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Williams was not present for the hearing. Mr. Waters asked if the Respondent was notified of the hearing. Mr. Coss indicated that Mr. Williams was notified of the date and time of the hearing by Certified and uncertified mail in April and by telephone on June 5, 2018.

Motion was made by Kenneth Waters, seconded by Reed Sudderth to approve the penalty in the amount of $500.00 for Citation number 297 for violations of the Fort Pierce Code of Ordinances and Florida Statute 489 5-53(a)(6): Engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor or advertise himself/herself or a business organization as available to engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor without being duly registered or certified. Also 5-53(a)(8): Commence or perform work for which a building permit is rquired pursuant to Chapter 5 of the Fort Pierce Code of Ordinance without such building permit being in effect.
