Professional services agreement with MNS Engineer, Inc. to provide temporary staffing to the Planning Department.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Approve agreement.
DISCUSSION:
The Planning Department is currently understaffed by two positions--Planning Clerk and Planning Assistant. This contract is for one planner to interface with the public and to assist with plan checking and license review activities during the period of staff recruiting.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN:
Goal 3: Improve development processing and customer service operations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Up to $129,500, to be paid with the savings in Planning Department's FY2025-2026 personnel budget resulting from two vacancies.
NOTICING PROCEDURE:
Not required.
