RESOLUTION NO. 8553- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAWTHORNE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE DIGITIZATION AND DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY CLERK RECORDS PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 34090 AND RESOLUTION NO. 7170
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff Recommends City Council approve Resolution 8553
DISCUSSION:
The City Clerk's office seeks permission to proceed with destroying records listed in Exhibit "B", aligning with established retention guidelines. This request is prompted by the completion of digitization efforts, ensuring both accessibility and efficient record management within the City of Hawthorne. The digitized records will be legally sound, while the physical copies, once approved, will be disposed of according to the retention schedule.
