Amendment to Contract for Administering the COVID-19 Relief and Economic Recovery Program
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign contracts with HDL Econ-Solutions for Administering the COVID-19 Relief and Economic Recovery Program
DISCUSSION:
The local recovery program needs to be carefully and thoughtfully administered to ensure optimum use of the funds in alignment with the City Council’s vision, goals and objectives and in compliance with American Rescue Plan Act requirements. Given the complexities involved in administering these federal funds as well as limited in-house resources to assign to this program, staff recommends that the City continue working with HDL Econ-Solutions. HDL will work with the City of Hawthorne to assume the overall administrative oversight of Hawthorne’s ARPA projects.
This amendment will add an additional $65,400 in funding for ARPA services to be provided by HDL.
