SUBJECT:
Second Amendment to the Consultant Agreement for survey services ("Second Amendment") between the City of Hawthorne ("City") and DRC Engineering, Inc. ("Consultant").
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve this Second Amendment and authorize the Director of Public Works to execute the Second Amendment to the consultant agreement.
DISCUSSION:
At the meeting of December 14, 2021, City Council authorized Public Works, Engineering staff to execute the agreement between the City and DRC Engineering, Inc. for survey services to perform Topographic Surveying for various projects. This amendment will allow the Consultant to conduct Survey Services and perform Topographic Surveying for Crenshaw Boulevard Signal Improvement and Intersection Project (Project #21-04).
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN:
The topographic survey will assist in providing relevant information regarding physical characteristics of the roadway such as above-ground utilities, traffic infrastructure, landscape and street dimensions which play an important role within the design and construction process of the Improvement Project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. Funds for the cost of $59,000 are available in the adopted fiscal year's budget and will be funded through MTA Grant Measure M Funds.
