First Amendment to the Agreement Between the City of Hawthorne and MNS Engineers, Inc.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Approve the First Amendment to the MNS Engineers, Inc. contract with the City.
DISCUSSION:
MNS provides professional planning personnel services to fill vacancies in the Planning Department staffing. The Department has two vacancies previously beginning in June 2025. These vacancies consist of the Planning Technician and Planning Assistant positions. MNS was contracted to provide one planner to the City as of July, 2025, but the recruitment of permanent employees is taking much longer than anticipated. This amendment will provide funding to continue the contract staff services until the vacancies are filled or June 30, 2026, whichever comes first.
