Second Amendment to Agreement Between City of Hawthorne and Harris & Associates, Inc.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Authorize City Manager to execute agreement amendment on behalf of City.
DISCUSSION:
Harris & Associates is engaged in a number of consulting activities for the City, including the management of the selection process for the Cordary Development Project. This amendment involves two changes to the existing agreement. First is the reallocation of previously approved funds among the various tasks Harris & Associates is contracted to perform. This involves no additional cost. Second is to increase the agreement total by $20,000 to allow Harris & Associates to represent the City in negotiations with a developer of the Cordary property. Harris & Associates will work with the City and developer to create an Exclusive Negotiation Agreement to be presented to the City Council for approval within the next few months. This will set the stage for the City to negotiate a Disposition and Development Agreement with a developer, which will also be presented to the City Council at a later date.

FISCAL IMPACT:
$20,000 of current fiscal year funds to be allocated to the existing professional services agreement with Harris & Associates, Inc. Sufficient fund are available without needing to adjust the approved budget.
