A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAWTHORNE, CALIFORNIA RECITING THE FACTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2024 & DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF & SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff Recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 8503
DISCUSSION:
A General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Hawthorne, California on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, as required by law. The election was consolidated with the local and municipal consolidated elections. The Registrar-Recorder of the County of Los Angeles canvassed the returns of said election and on December 3, 2024 certified the results to this City Council.
The canvassed and certified results are attached as Exhibit “A” to Resolution No. 8503. Alex Vargas was elected to a four-year term as Mayor. Angie Reyes English and Faye Johnson were each elected to four-year terms as City Council members.
