Mayor Vargas called the evening's meeting to order at 5:49pm.

Irma J Brito, expressed her excitement and gratefulness for the City of Hawthorne's willingness to participate in the 2028 Olympic Committee of Cape Verde.

Catherine Silva Walker expressed her appreciation and excitement for the City of Hawthorne's collaboration with the 2028 Cape Verdeans Olympic Committee.

Mayor Pro Tem Monteiro moved, Mayor Vargas seconded to officially make Hawthorne a host city for Cape Verde for the 2028 Olympics
