Requesting a declaration of public purpose pursuant to the Texas Constitution, Art. 3 Sec. 52 for the County Judge's Office, Public Affairs Division, Economic Development and Emergency Management for the purchase of promotional items as listed in the attached document for FY 2026.

The promotional items will be utilized during outreach events to inform, train, relate progress, and educate constituents of Hidalgo County on Emergency and Safety preparedness. In addition, items will be used for county-wide initiatives, programs, and recognition ceremonies which educate, inform, encourage/promote civic involvement and highlight meritorious accomplishments and efforts, including the Mental Health Coalition, Power Out Cooking Programs, Paws at the Park, and Prosperity Task Force/Rio Plex initiatives. Items will also include the Explore Hidalgo County, Junior Explorer Program logos and printing for outreach, public awareness, education, to promote/engage in participation in the Nature Trail Initiative. Acquisition of promotional items and supplies will be through the requisition and purchase order process.
