Discussion, consideration and acknowledgment of establishing the Hidalgo County Probate Court Mental Health Services Reimbursement Program for court services provided by Hidalgo County to individuals from other Texas counties. 

Hidalgo County provides resources to surrounding counties by conducting mental health cases for individuals for whom the other counties are financially responsible. The Health and Safety Code lists various costs of the proceeding and specifies that these costs must be paid by the county that initiates emergency detention procedures or applications for court-ordered mental health services. Probate Court No.1, the Auditor's office, and the County Clerk's office have collaborated to develop a system to collect these reimbursable mental health proceeding costs from the responsible counties.
