BACKGROUND
When WIC employees resign and receive longevity in a lump-sum payout, the grantor only authorizes reimbursement for the portion of longevity earned through the employee's last month of active employment. Any amount beyond the period in which the employee was actively employed is not an allowable grant expense and therefore cannot be covered by the grantor.
