Requesting approval of a Substantial Amendment to the Consolidation Plan 2008 Action Plan for the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) under the American Recovery Act and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
BACKGROUND
The County of Hidalgo has received a notice of funding allocation of $3,463,905 from HUD under the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) under the American Recovery Act and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Funding is to provide financial assistance and services to either prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless or help those who are experiencing homelessness to be quickly re-housed and stabilized. In order to receive these funds, the County must submit a substantial amendment to the Consolidated Plan 2009 Action Plan. County of Hidalgo Urban County Program has completed the requirements for this application and recommends approval. Substantial Amendment Application Standard Form 424 attached.
